Photographed by Andreas Sjodin, styled by Mauricio Nardi and creative direction by Kris Van Assche (The designer of Dior Homme), this editorial entitled "The Beat of the 1980’s" appears in the first ever issue of GQ China. The models; Thiago Santos, Yvan Thiwissen, Louis Borges and Reinaldo Berthoti did a great job showing off the architectural design of Dior's garments. It has been a while since I have seen an editorial that used only Dior pieces, it needs to happen much more often.
Photographed by Tyen, styled by Emmanuelle Alt and Makeup by Kim with the assistance of Tyen, Anja Rubik appears in this editorial entitled Peintures de guerre (War Paint) for the November 2009 issue of Vogue Paris. Although these shots are beauty shots (shoulders and up) it is clear that the styling was still taken seriously. I also like the change of emotions, in some shots Anja is serious then she's seductive, funny and relaxed. My favorite shot is the first one. Those eyelashes are amazing.
Alexander McQueen recently debuted his Spring/Summer 2010 collection and it appears as though he was on another planet when he designed it. I love everything about this collection. The shapes of the shoes, the architectural curves in the dresses as well as all of the prints and colors used in the collection are all amazing. I always love the garments that McQueen constructs but this collection is by far my favorite. I also like how the runway changed colors as the color palette of the garments on the runway did. I just wish the menswear collection was as avant-garde as the women's.
Photographed by Norbert Schoerner and styled by Nicola Formichetti, Adam Bates, Cory Osborne, Chris Darrow, Landon Westrom and Ryan Smith are featured in this editorial entitled "Duty Calls" for the Fall/Winter 2009 issue of AnOther Man magazine. I like the military theme of this editorial and the way the rough styling was softened up by all of the foliage in the background of each shot. My favorite pieces from this editorial are; the Dolce and Gabbana coat in the second image, the Y-3 trousers in the third image and the Burberry Prorsum coat in the fourth image.
Sahib was Photographed by Gan and styled by Kenneth Goh for this editorial entitled, "Arabian Knight" that appears in the October 2009 issue of Harper's Bazaar. It is slightly unusual to see a menswear editorial in Harper's Bazaar but when there is one, the editorial is always executed very well.
