Vivienne Westwood S/S '10

Watching a Vivienne Westwood show is always very intriguing
because it always entails an interesting theme. This season,
Westwood’s collection has been inspired by the epic life of pir-
ates. Among the pirates there is a crazy joker, Robin Hood and
lost boys who never want to grow up. Stripes, both vertical and
horizontal make an appearance on nearly every garment but the
stripes are not overpowering at all. The collection’s pants have
misaligned crotch lines that add to the label's chaotic vision.

Neil Barrett S/S '10

Neil Barrett pleases with his neutral-based spring collection
of smart chic leather and well-crafted layered proportions.
Set in a broad and boxy collection, below the knee shorts
are a vision paired with the light-weight mackintosh that has
been given a modern update with the stealthy use of vacuum-
sealed leather.

Linda Farrow's Spring/Summer 2009 collection of sunglasses has a series of designer collaborations which include Jeremy Scott, Raf Simmons, Damir Doma, Sophia Kokosolaki, Yohji Yamamoto, Bernard Willhelm and Veronique Branquinho. When you bring together the main designers in the Urban-Avant-garde-High-end field, your bound to have an incredible collection. I think the success of the collection is based on the fact that every designer that came forth on the collaboration has their own design aspect and views on what fashion actually is. I first stumbled upon Linda Farrow a few months ago but I blogged about her last month when I wrote about Linda Farrow x Damir Doma.

ATO F/W '09

Ato Matsumoto recently presented his Fall/Winter 2009 collection. The collection has a simple military theme to it. However, the design's and details that went into the garments are anything but simple. The color palete is an array of military colors mixed together with certain bright colors that compliment each detail in a particular outfit.

Bottega Veneta S/S '10

Turn to no other than Bottega Veneta for a rich, colorful spring retrospective. Starting off
with muted shades of brown, the collection surprisingly takes a journey through berry tones, mosses, corals and deep burnt reds before trailing off with pigmented purples and blues. The
style wheel is not reinvented, but Bottega Veneta offers just the right pieces to get the season started; relaxed jogging style trousers, the collegiate jacket, tye dies, rich prints, sheer knits
and even a hint of buttery soft light-weight leather.

Gianfranco Ferré S/S '10

Playing with both anti-fit and form-fitting silhouettes, the collection makes its statement in
the form of elongated blazers. Similar to Jil Sander’s fall collection, several of the blazers
feature sharp narrow shoulders and cinched waists. The difference here is that they actually compliment the male form instead of working against it. Working in the same fashion is the militaristic separates crafted in variants of green. Baggy and oversize, the details are minimal,
the slate clean and the the styling options endless.

Gucci S/S '10

If you know me, you know how I feel about Gucci. Especially Gucci's runway collections.
I feel that there are few other designers that can compare to the way that Frida Giannini
executes every collection that she design's for Gucci. The looks are always AMAZING!.
And I am never disappointed. From the Sunglasses to the shoes, everything can be worn
seperately or mixed with an array of pieces from this collection and it won't look as though
you are doing too much or wearing too much Gucci.

I'm in love with the shirt and blazer where the print's carries on from one to the other.
