Hermès Womenswear F/W '09

Of all my favorite designer's, I favor Hermès the most.
The quality is impeccable, the designs are an update to
classics and the leathers, suede's, crocodiles and other
exotic materials that Hermès uses are the best of the
best. The theme for this collection seem's to be Amelia
Earhart and Amy Johnson. Who were the first female
pilots if you do not know. The headgear and bomber
jackets compliment the wide-legged trousers, leather
suits, jumpers and thigh-high boots. The collection is a
perfect mix of old world female glamour, new age
sophistication and strength. I especially love the many
birkins and the leather covering over the studs on the
Collier De Chien belts (the belts with the square studs).

Gucci Resort '10

"Italian playground" was Gucci's designer, Frida Giannini's
touchstone. However, a mosaic print and embroidery were
the most direct references to her stated inspiration. These
are uncomplicated, go-anywhere clothes for a woman who
likes to travel in style. The collection includes garments to
bring you to any setting at any time of day. From the beach
to the club and back to your yacht.

Etro S/S '10

Now this is the Etro that I have come accustomed to. Etro's
Fall/Winter 2009 and Spring/Summer 2010 are totally different.
While the Fall/Winter collection is kept simple in tones of brown,
red and black. The Spring/Summer 2010 collection brings back
the Etro that everyone is used to. There are very few designers
that can design a collection of garment's where nearly every one
has a pattern on it or it is a very bright color and mix that with
some looks of subtle color. In my oppinion, Kean Etro does it the
best. I mainly love this collection because I feel that your Spring/
Summer wardrobe should be made up of colors that compliment
the weather as opposed to working against it.

Les Hommes S/S '10

Les Hommes seemed to have added on to the list of designers
that put out great Spring/Summer 2010 colelctions. Everything
has a nice and airy feel to it which is great for spring. The suit
complete with beaded pants and sandals, the suede harem pants,
the suede 2 piece set with matching sneakers, the slouchy suede
boots, the satin harem pants and the sheer sweater. Everything is
great for spring or any other season for that matter.

Hervé Léger Resort '10

I'm happy about the fact that Hervé Léger's resort 2010 collection was not completely filled with short bandage dresses but it still gave you the looks you've come to love and expect of all of their collections. The green bandage turtle neck dress and the black sequin bandage gown are my favorites.

Daria Werbowy For Vogue Paris.

Daria Werbowy is the second model to be featured
in an entire issue of Vogue Paris, Second to Lara
Stone. Carine Roitfeld picked her to pose for an
entire upcoming issue. Inez van Lamsweerde &
Vinoodh Matadin also fit into the exclusive grouping,
as the duo were the sole photographers chosen to
shoot Daria for the August issue.

Heidi Klum, The Barbie.

Miniature Heidi will be for sale come September,
just in time for Fashion Week. She’s part of the
Blonde Ambition line from Mattel, which celeb-
rates iconic yellow-haired mavens in the world of
fashion and entertainment. Heidi certainly fits in
that category.

In case you didnt notice Miniature Heidi is wearing
the Dior Extreme shoes.

There Will Never Be Another.

Few entertainers have managed to achieve the worldwide fame that Michael Jackson earned. Since his musical debut at the tender age of 11 in the Jackson 5 to his solo career that produced some of the world’s best-selling albums and most memorable music videos, Michael Jackson’s domination of pop music is undisputed. His creativity spanned beyond music to influence pop culture, fashion, and thousands of artists to come after him.

-First up is “In the Closet,” which starred Naomi Campbell dressed in a gorgeous white outfit. To add to the massive industry of power, iconic photographer Herb Ritts directed it.

-Then there’s “Remember the Time,” where Eddie Murphy was king and Iman played a beautiful Egyptian queen wearing an amazing headdress while on her throne, “I’m bored. I want to be entertained,” she says. And surely Michael delivered, appearing in a sandstorm of gold.

Frankie Morello S/S '10

All I can say is WOW. I love everything. Frankie Morello is now
one of my favorite designers. Bringing a rugby/polo feel but with
better colors, fabrics and designs.

Versace S/S '10

Donatella Versace and her design consultant Alexandre Plokhov
please us with a collection that brings your eyes to the middle ea-
stern world of fashion with a Versace twist. Thin sheer flowing
tops were paired with soft billowing trousers, long sheer tops were
paired with suits and nearly every outfit was completed with a thin
braided belt and coordinating pocket-size bag. My favorite look is
the one with the black copped jacket, black slacks, the black desert
hat, pouch and the black oxfords which is the first one.
