Box House by Zouk Architects

I've noticed that many people fail to realize that style is not only determined by the garments you wear; It is the way you walk, the way you talk, your personal grooming and the way you live (your home). I want my first post after a near 3 year hiatus to instill my definition of the word into my readers minds. This particular house was designed by Zouk Architects and is located in Strathfield NSW, Australia

"Timeless Denim" Cover & Editorial

For the first time ever, DETAILS magazine has featured models on the cover of an issue. The lucky males chosen for the March 2011 cover are Sean O’Pry, Arthur Kulkov and Noah Mills. They also appear in an editorial inside the publication entitled, Timeless Denim: The Definitive Building Block of Masculine Style is Good Jeans. This is what many people (including myself) have been waiting for, models on the cover. DETAILS is one of my favorite fashion magazines but I must admit, I was getting a little tired of only seeing celebrities on the cover of each issue. These images are definitely timeless; they remind me of the Levi's ad campaigns from the 1950's which are still amazing to this day. After viewing this editorial I couldn't help but wonder if the folks over at DETAILS meant to say "The Definitive Building Block of Masculine Style is Good Genes" because any old Joe couldn't pull off this whole shirtless look. However, these 3 make it look effortless.

Johan Goransson by Junji Hata for POPEYE May 2010

Johan Goransson has been photographed by Junji Hata and styled by Tomoki Sukezane to appear in two editorials for POPEYE Magazines May 2010 issue. The titles of the editorials are, A Legend of a Brit and the other is Accessory Revolution. Johan reminds me of female supermodel Agyness Deyn because they both have very interchangeable looks. Johan in these images could easily be mistaken for 3 different models. My favorite look is definitely the second one, I NEED to get my hands on that studded shirt from Givenchy's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Posting this made me remember that I was photographed some time last spring or summer for a street style photo to appear in Popeye magazine. I totally forgot about it and never went to get the issue and I'm not even sure if the photo got into the mag.

"The Nomad of the Golden Sand" Editorial

Photographer Mariano Vivanco and stylist Nicola Formichetti have worked together yet another time. This time for an editorial entitled The Nomad of the Golden Sand for Vogue Hommes Japan Vol 4. The editorial features Ford model, Alejandro Rodriguez escaping reality for a rich day in the sun, layered with ornate accessories. The labels amongst the images include Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Bernard Willhelm, Lanvin, Osklen, Vivienne Westwood and Moncler. I enjoyed viewing this editorial. Whenever I see an editorial using all these colors, it just makes me smile. And not to mention that beach! That is where I want to be right now. The more I look at this editorial, the more I like it. My favorite looks are the first, second and third. Remarkable work.

Giuliano Fujiwara 2010 F/W Accessories

I have had a love for Giuliano Fujiwara's footwear, clothing and accessories for quite some time now but it was not until recently that I gained the same amount of love for his jewelry as well. One of my close friends, Dashawn Mercado showed me these images of the Fall/Winter 2010 accessories line and I felt obligated to post them on here. I can honestly say that I love everything. From the necklaces to the cuff bracelets and the glasses, EVERYTHING is amazing and a MUST HAVE. Only Fujiwara would design necklaces to replace or cover the lapel or a jacket, collar of a shirt and cuffs of a shirt and not to mention those glasses. This is the innovation that fashion needs right now. I want it all!

"The American Experience" Editorial

This editorial, photographed by David Sims and styled by Tonne Goodman entitled The American Experience for Vogue US May 2010 takes us on a trip through time to many iconic eras in American History. I love the fact that some of my favorite models (Chanel Iman, Daria Werbowy, Lara Stone, Sasha Pivovarova and Raquel Zimmermann) are featured in this. Also featured are, Kasia Struss, Patricia van der Vliet, Liya Kebede, Karlie Kloss, Frida Gustavsson and Mirte Maas. My favorite images would have to be the two of Chanel Iman as the flapper (the second and last images). I just have a ridiculous love for the 1920's and 1950's. Although the 50's aren't shown here, I just thought you might like to know that :-).
