Cerruti F/W '09

Cerruti's Fall/Winter 2009 collection was all about detail,
kept simple in hues meandering from navy to black with a
few sidetracks to burgundy, gray, and white, it may seem
like a piece was made simple until you pay close attention
to the intricate details on each garment. Cerruti has always
focused on small details like thread, weaving and knitting
especially being that they've owned their own weaving
workshops since 1881. I dont understand why Cerruti isn't
a household name given the quality that they have brought
to the table for the past decades.

History:: Nino Cerruti took over his family’s wool business
in the fifties and designed his first men's collection in 1967,
considered revolutionary at the time for its meticulous lines
and quality materials. Ten years later, Cerruti launched his
women's line, followed by fragrance, jeans, accessories, and
more. It became a favorite in Hollywood, with Jack Nicholson,
Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Tom Hanks, and Denzel Washington
on its fan-list.

Cerruti's Creative Director is now, Jean-Paul Knott who also has
his own collection.
