Jean Paul Gaultier S/S '10

Jean Paul Gaultier's collections seem to always start off simple and
they end up transforming into an avant-garde runway with gender-
switching garments. For Spring/Summer 2010 the bustier acts as the
collection’s center-piece appearing underneath many blazers as well
as on its own. Bold and weightless, the collection’s sheer jackets add
to the eclectic mix of reverse coloring, horizontal gradients and both
prison and nautical stripes. Gaultier also throws denim into the mix, not
only cutting out swatches of fabric, but incorporating a tangled arrang-
ement of bondage straps creating a straight jacket look, which I like
a lot.
