Reminiscent of the Dior Homme Fall/Winter 2009 collection,
Kris Van Assche’s spring pieces are heavy on the cowl necks
and plunging necklines. Outfitting the anti-fit silhouettes of the
collection is a modest color palette of black, white and gray.
Effortlessly draping fabric to form the collection’s uniform, Van
Assche attempts the monochromatic layering of sheer pieces,
which comes out beautifully. The true beauty in Kris Van Assc-
he’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection is the element of growth,
maturity and clarity that is seen in the designer’s vision. I
especially like the sneaker-like gladiator sandal, i.e. look #2 and
#5.
