Sophie Vlaming was shot by Karen Collins for the editorial “When Darkness Falls” which appears in Elle UK's September 2009 issue. Karen put Sophie against a stark black background while wearing amazing designs by Chloé, Dolce & Gabanna, Chanel, Dries Van Noten, Gareth Pugh, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Laurence Dacade, Givenchy, Christian Lacroix and Emporio Armani amongst others. I love everything. The garments, shoes, accessories, the poses and the black backgrounds which causes you to focus on the colors and details in the clothing as opposed to the setting. I like the fact that the brief nudity doesn't stand out, it shows how good the stylist and photographer are.
